Proudly representing the Great Lakes State, Brent relocated to Denver after receiving bachelors degrees in both graphic design & communications at Saginaw Valley State University. Once in Colorado and while working part-time at agencies and restaurants, Brent continued his education by studying web development and motion graphics at the Art Institute of Colorado.
Historically, learning and evolving “as you go” has been a root discipline in Brent’s career. Working in in the creative industry in the peak of the 2008 recession made Brent evolve his skills from solely a designer, to a developer, videographer, photographer, illustrator, writer, project manager, friend, confidant, art director and eventually creative director. Since 2009, Brent has offered his expertise in design and problem solving at a variety of advertising/marketing firms ranging from boutique agencies to large, global-corporations.
Spending the early part of his transient life in Germany, has given him a refined taste for slow food, fine beverages and general authenticity. In April of 2018, his passion to elevate well-meaning brands and provide solution-based marketing/advertising for forward-thinking clients helped give birth to Thelen | Williams.
Brent enjoys creating music and various other forms of art, riding his bicycle year-round and has a playlist for every given occasion. His motto “Think. Do. Evolve. Repeat.” is both his mantra and an attempted way to live and maximize life.
Digital advertising and media strategist, impassioned with an intense curiosity for the intermixture of brands, people and technology. Nick is at his best when working with people, innovative when solving problems, a generalist and a strategist. He’s lived, studied or worked in Chicago, Denver, Vevey and Berlin, speaks French, and recently discovered passion for his bike. An avid angler, into hip-hop and James Bond films, he enjoys travel, is comfortable with a camera and tries to cook.
With more than 15 years working in email, digital, and social media marketing roles for the Fortune 150 to the local tattoo studio, Nick has experienced all levels of advertising and marketing production, implementation and management. He is motivated by the performance and growth that results from good, affective work. He successfully lead teams, worked independently and grown within all sizes of organizations. Brands like Smashburger, Smart & Final, Atkins, HP, Best Buy, and Paulaner | HP USA, have seen success resulting from Nick, his team and their work.
Nick is a digital native, but a traditional practitioner. He is naturally curious. He is passionate. A thought leader. A provocateur, who challenges the status quo and has taken on the responsibility of helping brands and businesses determine what to do and why, as his craft.
